Amano Dark Chocolate - Cuyagua
Amano’s Cuyagua dark chocolate bar starts in the small town of Cuyagua, Venezuela. From the historic plantation, the beans are harvested then combined with pure cane sugar, cacao butter, and real vanilla beans. A completely pure and natural combination of ingredients that leaves you wondering where has this dark chocolate been all your life.
The front of the bar packaging looks almost too pretty to be on the front of a chocolate bar. With the silhouette of a bare tree, backdropped by a sunset over the ocean, you know this dark chocolate bar was created with exotic places in mind.
As you open the packaging, and you almost consider saving the cover image, the haunting aromas overtake you. Is that apricot? What about those other scents? Something so exotic you may not be able to put your finger on it. Rest assured, that is guarana and blackened fruit you smell.
What about taste? Take a bite. That delicious apricot comes back and doubles down with some melon and exotic spices, just enough for you to consider planning your own trip to Cuyagua.
The Cuyagua dark chocolate bar has won two awards, including the Silver at the 2016 Academy of Chocolate Awards and the Bronze at the 2015 Academy of Chocolate Awards.
