Grown in the Carabobo state along the coast of north-central Venezuela, this pure modern criollo cacao is harvested almost exclusively by the Franceschi family. The Canoabo dark chocolate bar was recognized as one of the three best in the continent when it received the “Americas Bronze” award in the “Plain/origin dark chocolate bars” category at the International Chocolate Awards two years in a row. The Canoabo varietal also earned “Venezuela Gold” in 2013.
